Rockwell Automation partners with CrowdStrike to provide comprehensive endpoint protection

Rockwell Automation has announced a partnership with CrowdStrike to provide manufacturers with comprehensive endpoint protection services. The solution combines Rockwell’s industrial cybersecurity services and CrowdStrike’s Falcon platform.

The combined solution will monitor, protect, investigate and respond to incidents. It is purpose-built in the cloud with a single lightweight agent architecture and customers will benefit from the unified technology, intelligence and expertise that gives manufacturers security across their on-premises, hybrid and cloud environments.

The benefit for customers of choosing CrowdStrike Falcon by Rockwell Automation is the addition of Rockwell’s industry-leading software and operational technology (OT) specific policies for Falcon, developed by Rockwell’s cybersecurity specialists. It is also backed by software and phone support.

The Endpoint Protection fits into the extensive Rockwell Automation portfolio of managed services, along with incident response and threat detection, thus delivering a holistic cybersecurity solution.

Ultimately, the solution helps organizations secure their operations, mitigate cyber threats, and protect any organizational device connected to a network outside its firewall, including laptops, IoT devices, and more.

Hybrid cloud promises to bring the best of both worlds together, allowing businesses to combine the scalability and cost-effectiveness of the cloud with the performance and control you can get from your on-premises infrastructure.

Reducing WAN latency is one of the biggest issues with hybrid cloud performance. By taking advantage of compression and data deduplication you can reduce network latency.

Research firm Markets and Markets has predicted that the hybrid cloud market size is expected to grow from US$38.27 billion in 2017 to US$97.64 billion by 2023.

Colocation facilities offer many of the benefits of having your servers in the cloud, while still maintaining physical control of your systems.

Cloud adjacency provided by colocation facilities can enable you to take advantage of their low latency high bandwidth connections to the cloud as well as provide a solid connection back to your on-premises corporate network.
