Hyundai announces Ioniq 6 EV price and specifications, all you need to know

Hyundai Ioniq 6: Hyundai has unveiled the Ioniq 6 electric vehicle. Unveiled for the UK market, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV is built on the company’s Electrified Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). The EV has an ultra-low drag coefficient of just 0.21 and a sleek appearance. It has a starting price of £46,745 (Rs,47,24,207 approx). in relation to the Premium Rear Wheel Drive model. In addition, there is an Ultimate Rear Wheel Drive model. Price starts at £50,245 (Rs 50,77,929 approx).

Hyundai Ioniq 6 Features
The company’s Smart Sense Advanced Driver Assistance Systems are included in the Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV, ensuring comfort and safety while driving. One of these is Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2), which is said to help drivers on highways maintain a certain distance and speed from the car in front of them. Other safety features on the electric vehicle include blind spot collision assist, forward collision assist, adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist, parking collision avoidance and cross traffic collision assist.
There are two available powertrain options for the EV. These include a four-wheel drive power source with 325 horsepower and 605 Nm of torque or a rear-wheel drive power source with 228 horsepower and 350 Nm. The 77.4kWh battery of the Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV has a standard 800v charging system from the E-GMP platform. According to reports, the vehicle has a 350kW ultra-fast charging capacity.
The revolutionary Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) feature on the Ioniq 6 enables users to charge any electronic gadget. The over-the-air (OTA) software update option for various controllers will also be available on the EV, making it the brand’s first model to do so. Drivers will be able to change the vehicle’s controllers for electrical devices, autonomous driving, battery and more through the OTA update, making driving safer and more convenient. The OTA capability also allows drivers to update media applications and maps.
NCAP rating
In the Euro NCAP safety test, the Ioniq 6 Electrified Streamliner received the maximum five-star rating. The newest member of Hyundai’s all-electric IONIQ line-up performed particularly well in the “Adult Occupant”, “Child Occupant” and “Safety Assistance” categories.
