iPhone Takes The Top Position For Google Search Related To Gadget Insurance / Digital Information World

In today’s unpredictable world, theft continues to increase as we speak. And that is why more and more people are looking for insurance.
Gadget insurance is an empire that is slowly unraveling to be a necessity as more and more people keep it for expensive purchases. And according to Google Search, the iPhone was at the top of the search list in terms of the electronics people want to protect the most.
In case you didn’t know, the mighty Black Friday sale in the UK really made a lot of people realize that people couldn’t get their hands off iPhones and PlayStations. That made up the majority of the sales we saw, totaling nearly $9 billion.
Unfortunately, these devices are also the ones most often stolen by thieves, which is why consumers are now turning to device insurance to avoid such unfortunate incidents as the holiday season approaches.
Insurance for iPhones actually came first in terms of One Sure’s search list as of November this year. It stood at 40,000 and then the Google Pixel device came next at just 1,500. Other searches involved the likes of cameras and laptops. It was 12,000 per piece during that period.
These types of studies show just how eager people have become to protect themselves from harm. And while you might think it’s not tied to brands, well, the iPhone is leading the way.
Meanwhile, the study by One Sure showed that gadgets like the Xbox, drone, earbuds, AirPods and PlayStation are next in terms of gadget insurance on Google Search results.
The spokesperson leading the study by One Sure mentioned how so many people make big purchases during the holiday season. Whether it’s loved ones or friends, people are most generous during this time of year. And that is why most thefts happen now too.
And while you might forget about devices when it comes to insurance policies, the current security situation is a wake-up call that some insurance-linked policies should also include devices. After all, how else can one think of replacing a stolen item?
On average, seven out of ten device thefts occur when a person is far from their place of residence. And you’d be surprised to learn how 40% of smartphone-related thefts happen when you’re using public transportation.
People go to big events held in public places and that’s where you’ll run into big crowds. You get the chance to meet new and old people and you never know who might be viewing your shiny new iPhone from afar.
The spokesperson even added that the holiday season is about having fun and sharing happy news all over the place. However, you’d be surprised to learn that the festive season makes people forget the general measures needed to keep theft at bay.
