DHH announces the investment in Warian, internet service provider focused on the wholesale market
Milan, 14 December 2022. DHH SpA (“DHH” or the “Company”) (DHH.MI | WDHH21.MI) (ISIN shares IT0005203622) announces the acquisition of 45% of Warian srl (www.warian.net), the operation is by Seeweb exported a wholly owned portfolio company of DHH. Warian is an Italian Internet Service Provider (ISP) operating in the B2B sector with the main focus on the wholesale market. Founded in 2010 by Alfredo Giordano and Antonio Fortunato Warian, headquartered in Mercato San Severino (SA), Italy, it boasts a network of more than 50 wholesale partners as of September 2022.
Warian is a B2B Internet Service Provider (ISP) that offers reliable, high-performance data connections and cloud computing products via its proprietary marketplace platforms. The company has total revenue of approx. €1.3 million in 2021, with strong double-digit growth in the wholesale business.
DHH holds the option to purchase the remaining 55% of Warian’s share capital within 180 days of the approval of the financial statements as at 31 December 2025.
Giandomenico Sica, president of DHH, says: “We are very happy with this corporate venture capital deal. A rare example of an engineer with a humanistic background, Alfredo founded a company that is innovating the wholesale Internet access market. His entrepreneurial project is very ambitious, and we want to support him in this venture. Being the roots of DHH in the south of Europe, we are also proud that this project is based in Salerno, very close to the university, one of the most important hubs for advanced research in the south of Italy.
