Jennifer Lopez Seemingly Got In On The Internet Roast Of Her Husband, But Insider Says She’s ‘Over’ It

Jennifer Lopez has had her fair share of viral moments over the years, but this latest one really caused a stir. Lopez attended the 2023 Grammy Awards last Sunday and was accompanied by her husband, Ben Affleck. Later, during the broadcast, many of the viewers at home thought Affleck looked like he didn’t want to be there. The star’s seemingly somber expressions would be meme’d and soon after go viral. Much has been said about the exact reason for his appearance and all the while the internet has come for the star. Even Lopez has seemingly joined in on the grilling, though a source also claims she’s now “over” the situation.

JLo is definitely one to support her man, and she did so this past week by sharing the trailer for his new basketball movie, Air. Captioning her Instagram post, the singer noted that she “can’t wait” for the movie to be released. However, she also poked fun at her husband with a thumbnail that appears a few seconds before the clip plays. The image in question is a meme that not-so-subtly refers to the recent internet roasting. Check out the cheeky photo below:

I mean, if you can’t make a playful joke at your own spouse’s expense, why are you getting married in the first place? But seriously, it’s pretty funny that the Hustlers star can appreciate the humor in the unusual situation. However, one can understand the idea that she also wants to move away from the viral moment at this point.

A source for Page Six provided the alleged details on where Jennifer Lopez reportedly stands on the Ben Affleck/Grammys snafu. Not only does the person claim that she doesn’t want to focus too much on the case, but they say that shortly after the broadcast she was “over it” herself. It’s an interesting claim, especially considering the singer’s recent social media post. When sharing their alleged information, the insider also made a joke of their own:

She knows how much Ben hates award shows and was about it the next day. For the next awards show, might we suggest she bring her stylist or sister? Fewer headaches.

Shortly after the screening, an insider defended Ben Affleck’s “miserable” expressions. They argued that the star was simply “tired” and just “wasn’t his usual self.” Said person also said that he simply went to the awards ceremony to “support Jen.” A lip reader also weighed in on what Affleck and JLo were nodding about that night. The person claimed that when the singer whispered to her husband, she asked him to “look nicer”, although he remained unenthusiastic. Additionally, a nearby seat-filler claimed that Affleck found out he was booed while the show was still going on.

Given the longevity of the classic “Sad Affleck” meme, it’s likely that these new images will remain in the public consciousness for some time. Still, as was the case with those photos, it’s possible that the star and his wife won’t try to give this new viral sensation more energy than it needs.

Both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have productions on the schedule of new movie releases in 2023, as Shotgun Wedding is now streaming with an Amazon Prime Video subscription, and Air will hit theaters on April 5.
