Twitter hails Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli as India hammer Bangladesh

Ishan Kishan smashed the fastest ODI double ton while Virat Kohli scored his first century in the format after more than three years as India cruised to a 227-run consolation win over Bangladesh in the third ODI.

India were back to winning ways on Saturday with a 227-run thrashing of Bangladesh in the third and final ODI at Chattogram, finishing with a consolation win before turning their attention to the two-Test series.

The Men in Blue suffered narrow defeats in Dhaka, by one wicket and five runs respectively, to surrender another one-day series in Bangladesh after losing 2-1 under MS Dhoni’s leadership in 2015. However, on Saturday, the Indian side lived up to its full potential as it dominated the hosts both with bat and ball to walk away with one of their biggest ever victories.

Opener Ishan Kishan made the most of the opportunity he was given on the day after spending a lot of time on the sidelines in India’s recent assignments and smashed 210 to power the visitors to an impressive 409/8 after getting through the Bangladeshi captain Litton was invited to bat. Tie. Not only did he bring up his first international century, he also ended up breaking West Indian great Chris Gayle’s six-year-old record for the fastest double century in ODIs.
